Brighter Futures for Children is improving outcomes for Reading's children, young people and families.
We are an independent, not-for-profit-company, wholly owned by Reading Borough Council. Our responsibility is to deliver quality children's services, early help, education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services in the borough.
To support and assess individual’s needs in relation to their occupational performance with the aim of promoting independence, quality of life and personal development within the framework provided by Statute, Guidance, Policy and Procedures.
To ensure that the support offered assesses individual’s social care needs with the aim of promoting independence and the meeting of these needs through provision of adaptation and/or equipment within the framework provided by Statute, Guidance, Policy and Procedures.
The Team/Role
We currently have a vacancy for an additional experienced part time Paediatric Occupational Therapist within our Childrens Disability Service.
The OT team currently consists of 3 full time experienced OTs and a Senior OT, but from April 2022 we will have 4 full time OTs and an OT Team Manager in addition to this post. The team sits under the umbrella of the Childrens Disability Service and works closely with Social Workers and short breaks colleagues within the Childrens and Young People’s Disability Team (CYPDT).Work Location: Civic Office, Reading combined with working from home.
