Infant Family Worker
37 hrs per week permanent position
Brighter Futures for Children is improving outcomes for Reading's children, young people and families.
We are an independent, not-for-profit-company, wholly owned by Reading Borough Council. Our responsibility is to deliver quality children's services, early help, education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services in the borough.
We are looking for a practitioner with experience of delivering health support, information and advice in groups and on a 1-1 basis.
You will be required to work together with a variety of partners such as Midwifery, Health visiting, speech and language teams, children’s centres, early years settings and SEND organisations in order to effectively identify, reach and provide appropriate targeted support to babies and their families.
The first 1,001 critical days from conception to age 2 are a unique period for a baby that sets the foundations for lifelong emotional and physical wellbeing (Best start for life March 2021) Developed as part of the early years healthy development review we are keen to support improved health outcomes for all babies in the Reading borough.
Applicants should have a Health and social care level 3 qualification/ NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent professional qualification and experience related to work with babies and families with a health focus
