About us
The Hexagon Theatre hosts events that attract a diverse range of audience members who enjoy excellent customer service, as well as food and drinks delivered by a team of dedicated and enthusiastic professionals. We are looking to add a few new team members to start the new season with us in September ready for the busy lead up to the annual Pantomime.
About
the role
As a Hospitality staff member you will welcome customers to the venue ensuring all their queries are answered and swiftly service food and drinks orders from one of the many bars and coffee bars. Applicants who are more comfortable in the kitchen than behind a bar are very welcome as The Hexagon has a café. A background in catering is preferred but full training is provided by the supportive team members who come back year after year. The job requires an understanding of the principles of food safety and good hygiene, and involves cash and manual handling as well as providing high standards of customer service.
About you
You must be available to take up the position in September and commit to working evenings and weekends as and when the theatre programme requires. A rota system offers shifts when there are events and you must tell us in advance of any shifts you would not be available for. Most shifts will commence at 6.30pm and last approximately 3-4 hours. On weekends there are matinee performances that start earlier. Some weekend work is required but you will not be expected to work them all.
If you seek a social role within an enjoyable and hardworking team, have an eye for detail and the confidence to match this could be the position for you.
