Brighter Futures for Children is improving outcomes for Reading's children, young people and families.
We are an independent, not-for-profit-company, wholly owned by Reading Borough Council. Our responsibility is to deliver quality children's services, early help, education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services in the borough.
The Team/Role
The position of Business Administrator in the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Casework team.
The post holder will be expected to work as part of a busy SEND Casework team. This requires self-organisation, flexibility and adaptability to support the delivery and day to day running of the SEND Team in order to meet statutory duties. The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are to ensure that accurate records are kept and that good standards of communication are provided. General administrative duties include, although are not limited to, dealing with and responding to a variety of telephone and email contacts, ensuring accurate message-taking or appropriate sign-posting and responding accurately to standard Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs); co-ordinating documentation for decision making panel meetings; placing orders for equipment; preparing and sending out communication by post and dealing with incoming post; occasionally taking notes at meetings.
