This position provides an exciting opportunity to be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of projects within the IT and digitisation portfolio for Reading Borough Council.
The portfolio includes projects needed to deliver the Council's IT & Digital Strategy, IT Capital Programme, enable
new ways of working and support the wider service transformation required to ensure the Council continues to provide efficient and effective services to local people.
We are looking for someone with demonstrable IT and digital project management experience with evidence of successful delivery of complex projects including the identification, recording and tracking of expected benefits during the project lifetime.
You will be responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of projects within the portfolio, ensuring the technology delivered meets the Council's business requirements whilst maintaining alignment to the strategic vision of the authority. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with the Council's ICT Managed Service provider, other suppliers and stakeholders across the Council.
The post will be part of our Corporate Improvement Team that provides IT and digital services, project management and analysis, and customer relations services to support service delivery and improvement across the Council.
